That’s my girl!

Haley got to participate in the ice show last night.  What can I say…. WOW!!!  She did a FANTASTIC job!  She looked so cute dressed in her little costume 🙂  I’m sure I looked like an idiot (not that I care)  I was practically jumping up and down on my butt in the bleachers, I was so excited for her.  The most important thing was that she looked like she was having a great time.  Skating in front of a huge crowd didn’t seem to faze her at all.  She kept looking out to the bleachers and waving at me – so cute!  The whole show was really great.  Some of the skaters were super-impressive, you could tell they train really hard to get as good as they are.  I sure hope Haley will stick with this.

Healthwise, I’m back on track.  The past couple weeks were a little rough, over a week of insomnia – and by that I mean I would wake up anywhere between midnight and three in the morning and could not get back to sleep.  Needless to say, I was ridiculously tired.  Add to that our sweet little hamster passing away….. So I took about five days off my “diet” and just ate what I wanted.  I cringed when I weighed in on Sunday – only to open up my eyes and see that I was still 169.5.  I hadn’t done the damage that I thought I had done.  Whew!

I’ve decided to give Mary Kay a try.  Selling it, that is.  I tried to sell Avon a couple years ago, and *ahem* sucked royally at it, but I blame that on lack of time to actually work it.  With being on mat leave, I have the freedom to treat MK like a part time job – if I put the hours and the effort into it, I may actually get somewhere.  I’m not looking to make piles of money, but it would be nice to be able to build enough of a clientelle so I wouldn’t have to go back to cashiering after my mat leave is up.  It’s really important to both Ryan and I that I remain a stay-at-home mom, for at least another year, instead of having to find child care for Willow at such a young age.  We would also like to buy a house in the near future, and the cold hard reality is that we simply can’t afford it if I stay at home.  We’ll see how it works out.

So that’s it!  I’m ready to start a brand new day.  Here’s hoping the wind (which has managed to completely destroy my outdoor swing, tearing the fabric right off the canopy) has run its course so we can get out for a nice long walk.  Have a great Friday!  Woohoo!
